Alone Again…

By Eric Malcolm

I can remember so many times of joy,

And many a moments filled with pain,

Through all the good times, and all of the bad times,

When in love I never once felt disdain,

(hook) Because I eventually find myself sitting here low,

Hopeless in love like I’ve never been,

Hoping and wishing and drinking and missing,

Finding myself… alone again,

At the end of the day I feel so much love,

Then I bottle it up and drink it like wine,

And I see so many strangers enjoying their lives,

And I wonder when I’m going to start living mine,

(hook) Because I eventually find myself sitting here low,

Going threw life without my best friend,

Hoping and wishing and drinking and missing,

Finding myself… alone again,

Then once in awhile I meet somebody new,

And to me their brown eyes couldn’t possibly lie,

They could tell me to give, they could tell me to live,

They could tell me to stop bottling it up inside,

Then I show them the love that I feel I can’t hide,

And in their distant brown eyes I try to confide,

(hook) But I eventually find myself sitting here low,

Seems the same to me as it always has been,

Hoping and wishing and drinking and missing,

Finding myself… alone again… alone again (Repeat).
